About the program
As a pioneer in digital mental health training, our specifically designed Student Placement program focuses on supporting you in gaining confidence and competence as a clinician. You will work with a diverse range of clients from around Australia through internet - delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT). Working at MindSpot provides significant development opportunities and a highly supportive environment to develop clinical knowledge, skills and experience.
All of our training is valuable for aspiring clinicians planning a career in both digital or face - to - face clinical services, equipping you to work with a wide range of presentations.

About the placement
- Be on the front line of the clinic; conducting clinical assessments, writing brief reports, providing referrals and providing treatment for people across the country.
- Work with large numbers of patients, building your clinical experience and confidence in a short space of time.
- Work with people with a broad range of clinical needs and difficulties, gain experience integrating theory into real-world practice.
- Have the opportunity for regular learning opportunities via group supervision, clinical workshops and consultation with senior clinicians
- Be supervised by high-quality, senior clinicians with more than five years’ experience in CBT and digital mental health
- Receive in-depth training in risk and gain experience and training in risk assessment and management and build experience in delivering CBT, effectively, with patients through one or more proven, structured, digital mental health treatments.
About you
Our placement is ideally suited to students completing placements as part of their Master of Clinical Psychology degree.
You will have some placement experience during your studies and wish to experience a role within a diverse, experienced and supportive environment, while working as an integral part of the clinical team.
