Previously known as PORTS, MindSpot GP supports people who are referred by GPs and health professionals. No mental health treatment plan is required, and our assessment and treatment services are free for all Australian adults.
Through MindSpot GP, referred patients can access online and telephone-based assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, substance use, and coping with chronic pain and chronic health conditions. When someone starts treatment withMindSpot GP, they can opt to either complete their treatment independently or with ongoing support from one of our therapists.
The team atMindSpot GP comprises psychologists, mental-health workers and researchers. We provide a fast and efficient referral and assessment process to ensure the community can access care as soon as possible.All of our treatments are clinically-validated, and are therapist-guided.

In July 2022, PORTS was expanded to become the MindSpot GP service. MindSpot GP builds on and enhances the world-class mental health support that PORTS provides to the people of Western Australia. Under MindSpot GP, patients can now access an increased range of services and treatment options.
MindSpot GP serves a broad range of people from across Australia. For example, the ages of people referred from Western Australian range from 16 to 95 years; 36% are male; 4% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and 16% are unemployed.
Eligibility age
In WA, patients aged 16 years and over can access services from MindSpot GP with a GP referral.
Face-to-face treatment option
In addition to telephone and online based treatment options, patients from WA referred directly by a GP can also access to face-to-face services.
GPs in regional WA
MindSpot GP is excited to announce that GPs based in regional WA can now refer patients directly to this digital mental health service. GPs no longer need to refer via a regional provider, meaning patients can now more easily access the care they need, when they need It.
